The Paperweight Mall

This is one of the first Whitefriars range paperweights produced by Caithness in 1982. Designed by Colin Terris and produced in an edition of only 100. The blue and white canes are very Whitefriars like, but the red and green canes of the double trefoil garland are not colours that Whitefriars would have used and not as good quality. On the other hand the double overlay is much better quality than Whitefriars ever made and the overall effect is pleasing. 2.9 inches in diameter with a central whitefriars date cane for 1982. This example is numbered 27.
