This weight has a very pretty pattern based on a six spoked wheel of latticino canes with close packed complex blue and white canes, some with pink centres. I cannot help feeling with this weight that a simpler faceting might have enhanced it better. The complex arrangement of irregular rectangles, pentagons and hexagons has resulted in the loss of a bit more glass than usual leaving a weight 2.7 inches in diameter and 2 inches high. The faceting when exmained closely is a little irregular perhaps indicating an experimental cut that was difficult to perfect. It has a Whitefriars date cane for 1976.
