The Whitefriars 1980 Christmas paperweight. The last and rarest of the Whitefriars Christmas weights. It is probable that less than 260 were made of which this is number 25. The story is that the original intention was to produce a weight based on the theme of shepherds and sheep but it proved too complicated and the prototype sheep looked rather like poodles so this design was a late replacement. It is nevertheless attractive and colourful. 3.2 inches in diameter with six side facets and one top. Christmas Paperweights: |
